KCBW and Rustic Road Pairing Dinner
Unbelievably, we're coming up on the 6th annual Kenosha Craft Beer Week, beginning on Saturday, May 11! It seems like only yesterday that Matt over at PUBLIC conceived of the idea of a Kenosha-specific craft beer week, and we got together to brew the first collaboration beer, a Rye Peppercorn Pale Ale. This year, R'Noggin, PUBLIC and Rustic all collaborated again on a beer, and, although I can't say what it is yet, I'm really excited for it! Check the Kenosha Craft Beer Week website for information about all the events that week.

This year is also our first opportunity to do a beer pairing dinner in our own kitchen, which I have been wanting to do since before we opened. This has truly been a dream for me! Tom has a number of special beers that he's pulling out, and our menu artist Ryan has designed some amazing foods to complement and incorporate Rustic Road beers.
Here's what is in store:
IPA-pickled bruschetta with toasted French bread crostini
Fresh garden cucumber salad with red wine vinaigrette
Beer-braised short ribs with grape jam barbeque sauce served with grilled asparagus
Cocoa brownies with Highland Porter whipped cream and bourbon-caramel drizzle
Just typing this right now is getting me excited to taste these combinations. Yum! I hope to see some of you out there that evening to share in a meal with us and hear Tom and Ryan talk about this project and how things came together. Cheers!
